The cooperative has about 1,400 members of which 300 produce coffee in the village of Secuachil. These coffee farmers cultivate a varietal known as Anacafe 14 which is a naturally occurring hybrid created from the Pacamara and Catimor varietals. Anacafe is said to have been discovered in Chiquimula around 1980.
