The Smithfield Farmers Market season kicks off April 1st! In addition to the opening market, you can find us in Smithfield on April 15th and April 29th. The market is located in the historic district on Main Street. Hours are from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Happy New Year! We’ve updated the site with our latest beans: El Salvador Tres Ninas, Burundi Kanovera (Fair Trade), Kenyan Maganjo and Colombian Excelso Cauca – Finca El Porvenir. If you live or work near Smithfield, Finley’s General Store which is located on Main Street has a fresh batch of coffee that was roasted this week. We have some exciting news to share with everyone! You can now enjoy our Critical Mass Espresso at Byrd’s Restaurant in Newport News. Byrd’s Restaurant is family-owned and features dishes that are prepared FRESH each day. This weekend we were fortunate enough to get a sneak peek of the restaurant and we also enjoyed some breakfast and lunch items from their menu. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious! Just a quick update regarding our Smithfield Farmer’s Market schedule. With the temperature looking like it’s going to be around 100 degrees on Saturday, we’ve decided to beat the heat and enjoy the comforts of AC. We’ll also be taking the July 30th market off.
