These beans are farmed in the Curah Tatal and Kayumas villages of Java at an altitude of 884 – 1585 meters above sea level. The beans undergo a wet-hulled process and are sun dried on bamboo mats. Harvest time takes place from May to September. Taman Dadar translates to “flower garden” which is how the local farmers refer to this area. The farmers have used organic farming practices for several generations and they obtained organic certification to allow them to earn a premium price for their coffee production.
