The Soprocopiv co-op grows and processes these beans at an altitude of over 5,000 feet in the North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The beans are dry-milled in the village of Butembo. The co-op was formed in 2004 with the mission of improving education and healthcare services for the farmers by producing speciality coffee. These beans are fully washed and sun dried on patios. Harvest time takes place from August through December.
